A free press only checks power if it holds itself and the institutions it covers to one consistent standard, so aggressive scrutiny of media narratives, of Big Tech influence over election administration, and of process changes made without legislative approval is legitimate watchdog journalism.

Her core 'Rigged' thesis, that Zuckerberg's ~$350-400M in CTCL grants let partisans 'seize' election administration, overstates the evidence: the FEC found no reason to believe the grants were an unlawful partisan operation and the aid reached jurisdictions in 48 states, so critics say she frames contested nonpartisan election-support work as intentional rigging.
